A WHS entry permit holder is entitled to enter a workplace for the purpose of inquiring into a suspected contravention of the Work Health and Safety Act that relates to, or affects, a relevant worker. (A ‘relevant worker’ is someone who works at that workplace and who is a member, or eligible to be a member, of the union represented by the entry permit holder, and whose industrial interests the relevant union is entitled to represent.)
